How this gift works...
In association with Casa Olea, this gift provides the opportunity to adopt an olive tree in Spain for 12 months. Learn all about olive oil – how it’s made, the different types and the tasting. Simply register the gift following the instructions inside. An olive tree dedication certificate, a sample bottle of the finest Spanish Denominación de Origen (DO) extra virgin olive oil, and an Olive Grove Privilege Voucher will then follow in the post. The voucher entitles you to a tour of the olive grove, a tasting session and discount on accommodation at Casa Olea, should you wish to visit your tree!

How long does my adoption last?
Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration.

Can I visit the olive grove?
Yes, you can visit the olive grove by appointment with Casa Olea. The olive grove forms part of the Casa Olea finca, or rural estate, where luxury B&B-style accommodation is available. This charming hideaway is the perfect base from where to explore the stunning Andalucian countryside. Further details can be found in the Guide to Casa Olea which forms part of this gift. You do not have to stay at Casa Olea to have a tour of the grove.

Can I pick olives from the grove?
If you decide to visit the grove, it may be possible for you to help with picking the olives but this will depend on the time of year that you visit and on the harvest itself. For further enquiries and arrangements, please contact Casa Olea.

Is my sample bottle of olive oil from my tree?
No. Given the small size of the Casa Olea grove and the type of machinery used at the mill for processing, it is impossible to produce oil specifically from your adopted tree. However, at Gift Republic we want you to enjoy the special taste of oil from the same area so we are including a sample bottle of extra virgin olive oil selected by the Priego de Córdoba DO, a governing body which sets the guidelines on quality extra virgin olive oil production in the Casa Olea region.

Can I buy Casa Olea oil?
Yes. However, like any commodity the amount of olives produced and the price per kilo may vary each season. Every harvest Casa Olea’s high quality olives are taken to a local cooperative, which also accepts olives from many other small farms within the DO region. Each batch is quality tested before being combined to make the cooperative’s own extra virgin olive oil. How long does it take for me to receive my certificate, my sample bottle of olive oil, directions to the grove and my Privilege Voucher?
These will be dispatched within 28 days from the date of registration. Occasionally, factors outside of Gift Republic’s control, such as harvest and stock levels, may affect delivery times.

Disclaimer:
This gift package is produced in association with Casa Olea. Once registered the recipient will be sent the location of the olive grove. It is after this point that they are welcomed to visit the olive grove for a tour and tasting session. Please note: flights and accommodation are not included with this gift. Although their name will be entered as adopter of the tree, this tree is not exclusive to them and there may be times when the tree has more than one adopter registered to it. The adopter will not be provided with the exact location of their specific tree. Neither Speedygift nor its suppliers can accept liability for the durability of the tree. Whilst the greatest care will be taken to ensure the health of the tree, it may be affected by climatic conditions or blight outside of the control of the owners. The adoption and voucher are valid for 12 months from the date of registration. This is a novelty gift item and must be regarded as such.
